Mega Union Technology Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "Mega Union"), established in 2004 and headquartered in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, is one of the country's leading companies specializing in integrated water resource engineering for high-tech industries. Business Model & Core Services

Mega Union provides comprehensive, end-to-end water treatment solutions encompassing design, construction, and operation & maintenance (O&M). Its services include the development of ultrapure water systems, wastewater recycling and treatment, outsourced O&M services, consumables cleaning and replacement service (e.g., RO membrane cleaning, resin regeneration), and engineering for reclaimed water and seawater desalination systems. In response to global environmental regulations and the need for sustainable development, the company is also actively engaged in the planning and construction of water reuse and desalination plants, expanding the application of circular water technologies.

Key Competitive Advantages

Mega Union boasts strong capabilities in project planning, system design, and engineering construction. The first-generation team brings with it nearly 30 years of experience in water systems, drawing from international corporate expertise. The company has constructed ultrapure and wastewater recycling systems for over 30 major high-tech facilities. Its design and planning division includes over 90 professionals, supported by more than 300 project engineers and hundreds of safety personnel, with a peak construction mobilization capacity of up to 2,000 workers per day.

In Research and Development, Mega Union operates an internationally certified laboratory, providing real-time support for technological development, water system commissioning, and comprehensive testing services for chemicals and recovered resources. According to a report by the Intellectual Property Office of the Ministry of Economic Affairs dated September 25, 2024, Mega Union ranked 14th globally among patent applicants in the field of wastewater treatment for semiconductor processes—second only to ITRI among Taiwanese companies. As of the end of 2024, the company had been granted 13 patents in Taiwan, 3 in the United States, and 2 in China.

In terms of material and consumable management, Mega Union maintains the largest inventory in Taiwan, with a warehouse area exceeding 5,000 ping (approx. 16,500 square meters) and over 5,000 stock-keeping units (SKUs) of critical consumables and pipe/valve components. The company employs an ERP-based inventory management system to ensure stock safety levels. Additionally, the company operates more than 350 plastic pipe welding machines. Furthermore, it promotes equipment standardization and modularized production, enhancing quality consistency, reducing on-site construction scale and time, simplifying processes, and improving construction safety, which ultimately boosts efficiency and reduces costs.

Mega Union also integrates system platforms for consumables recovery and resource reuse. Through its O&M services, the company maximizes consumables' lifecycle, offers system performance recommendations, reduces labor requirements, and optimizes system design during the planning phase to lower construction costs.
