Main Services and Technologies: Practicing Resource Recycling and Reuse
The main businesses include the comprehensive treatment of industrial waste incineration for power generation, treatment of mercury containing waste and thermal cracking and recovery of precious metals, as well as treatment of the electronic waste from printed circuit boards for copper recycling. Through the technologies above and green energy solutions, waste is converted into useful resources to reduce negative environmental impacts.
Chung Tai has a professional construction industry license for environmental engineering, a Class A waste removal permit, and a Class A waste disposal permit for each of its three plants. Its employees hold 148 professional licenses related to environmental protection, occupational safety and health, and fire protection, and the company combines the respective technologies of the factories to achieve resource recycling and reuse.
The first plant was converted into commercial operations in 2022, becoming the largest comprehensive waste treatment center in Taiwan in recent years. Its incineration, power generation, bottom slag reuse, solidification, cleaning, and chemical treatment technologies can handle complex and difficult waste, and can properly turn the derivatives generated in the plants into regenerated products. The crushing, distillation, thermal desorption, and thermal cracking technologies of the second plant can recover and extract mercury products with a purity of 99.99% or higher from waste mercury-containing lamps and waste materials, and precious metals (gold, silver, palladium, cobalt, manganese and nickel) can also be extracted from waste composite materials, and the dry and wet crushing, water shaking table sorting and upgrading technologies of the third plant can recycle and process waste printed circuit boards to produce high-purity copper powder and concrete admixture products, achieving full recycling and zero waste. Recently, the company has combined the technical expertise and environmental engineering project management capabilities of the three plants to enter the field of environmental remediation engineering starting from 2023.

Promoting a Sustainable Future: Chung Tai’s Innovation in Environmental Education and Circular Economy
Chung Tai is not only a waste treatment plant, but also committed to promoting environmental education. In 2014, the “Chung Tai Resource Technology and Environmental Resource Education Center” was established, which is the first private waste treatment institution in Taiwan to pass the certification of environmental education facilities. The Company has set up an environmental education facility site in the second plant, an industry cultural center of green resource technology in the third plant, and an innovation and R&D center for green energy circular economy in the first plant to expand the advocacy and promotion of environmental education, and organized visits from government agencies, industry groups, and community members. As of the end of June 2024, the number of visitors has reached 10,000.
