Asia Innovation Capital Launch:
The Taiwan Innovation Board Drives
a Taiwan-Style “Asian NASDAQ”

The Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) has instructed the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) and the Taipei Exchange (TPEx) to jointly launch the Asia Innovation Capital on October 21, 2025. The initiative aims to leverage capital to build an optimal financing environment for innovative Asian enterprises, create a new cluster for listing innovative companies, cultivate a group of "guardian mountains" (leading companies), support the government's goal of establishing an Asia Asset Management Center, and actively promote industrial upgrading and transformation.

The Asia Innovation Capital focuses on three pillars: targeted industries, regulatory relaxation, and strengthened implementation strategies. Its goal is to attract high-quality domestic and international companies to list in Taiwan, concentrate on forward-looking industries aligned with key national policies, and support Taiwan’s transition toward a smart technology island with integrated soft, hard, and resilient capabilities.

The platform adopts a “Board Synergy” approach, integrating different boards in Taiwan’s capital market. This comprehensive system provides financing solutions for enterprises at all stages, from early incubation to maturity, assisting high-quality innovative companies in entering the capital market and maximizing the synergistic effect of large companies supporting smaller ones.

The Taiwan Innovation Board is centered on market capitalization and does not require profitability as a condition for IPO eligibility. Its listing criteria are internationally competitive, making it the most capable segment of Taiwan’s capital market to meet the needs of both domestic and foreign innovative enterprises. It also serves as a key pillar in Taiwan’s efforts to establish a locally distinctive “Asian NASDAQ.”
