Following the FSC’s release of the “Roadmap for Adoption of the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards” in August 2023, listed companies in Taiwan will adopt the Standards in three phases starting from the 2026 fiscal year, based on paid-in capital.

  • Continuing to promote the Asian Asset Management Center (AAMC) policy to enhance the international visibility of Taiwan’s capital market

Promoting and Optimizing the IR Engage platform

  • Establishing the IR Engage platform by Taiwan Index Plus Corporation (TIP) in November 2024, in support of the policy to develop Taiwan as an Asian Asset Management Center and enhance the value of Taiwan’s capital market, providing services including an IR Zone, ESG Data, Engagement Services and Conference to strengthen connections between companies and institutional investors

  • Achieving 100% renewable energy usage at office facilities in Taipei 101 and continuing to increase the use of green electricity at data centers

  • Organizing one “Practical Decarbonization Workshop and Sustainability Action Seminar for Directors” in each of northern, central, and southern Taiwan. The Taipei and Kaohsiung sessions were completed in May, featuring a one-and-a-half-day practical decarbonization workshop and a half-day directors’ seminar. Benchmark companies were invited to share practical experience, helping directors of listed companies strengthen their capabilities in decarbonization management and sustainable governance. The Taichung session is scheduled for July 14.
  • Held a sustainability report seminar in May to explain sustainability information disclosure requirements and digitalization measures, helping listed companies enhance the quality of their disclosures.

Promoting ESG knowledge

  • Collaborating with universities, NGOs, and online platform providers to deliver both online and offline ESG training programs, promoting knowledge of sustainable development
  • As of the end of May this year, through separate collaborations with National Taiwan University, National Sun Yat-sen University, National Chung Hsing University, and the Taiwan Institute of Economic Research, we have hosted two international forums, one domestic forum, two panel discussions, and two courses, drawing more than 900 attendees.
