The TWSE held three press conferences for significant issues regarding the securities market, including corporate governance evaluation results, new market developments, and strengthening the monitoring mechanisms for listed companies. c. More than 800 press releases were issued on important securities market news. d. The TWSE cooperated with major domestic finance media to hold seven investment forums and investment seminars. C. Social welfare and charity events a. Donations to social welfare organizations for underprivileged groups: The TWSE donated a total of NTD78.85 million towards 259 officially registered charitable organizations via the “MOHW Charity Donations Destined for Social Welfare Funds Administration System” and 60 social welfare organizations in cooperation with United Way of Taiwan, assisting the economically vulnerable elderly, families in need, the disabled, and those in disease treatment. b. Assistance for underprivileged students: The TWSE donated a total of NTD55.88 million to the “School Education Special Savings Account” on the Ministry of Education’s philanthropy fundraising platform to assist 11,279 economically disadvantaged students from 322 schools in 20 counties and cities across Taiwan. c. Charitable activities with peripheral agencies and the Taiwan Financial Services Roundtable: The TWSE donated and funded such activities as the Financial Services Education Fund, the International Finance Institute (IFI), special public welfare classes in finance for college students, “Financial love - (real) food bank,” and the Taiwan Youth Soccer Cup to a total of NTD33.09 million. d. Donations in line with policies or for other social causes: The TWSE donated to several social welfare causes, including to the social assistance funds of 22 county/city governments nationwide; international relief funds for Ukraine; the Chinese New Year’s Eve events by the General Association of Chinese Culture; the Presidential Office Building Light Show; and the charity concert “Hear the South of Taiwan” to a total of NTD25.67 million.
