   III. Computer Application and Information Services
1. System Upgrade
1) The competent authority announced on January 17 that the TWSE was deemed a critical infrastructure provider in the financial sector, and thus under the "Cyber Security Management Act" should submit a cyber security maintenance plan and strengthen relevant measures.
2) By March 2020, the TWSE completed the phased adjustment of the length of the price field of all securities market systems in response to the requirement that securities unit prices could exceed TWD 10,000 and the needs of securities brokers for decimal points in diversified trading product development.
3) The TWSE adopted the Linux operating system in place of the original AIX system for its trading gateway on May 18.
4) The TWSE promoted the application of AI in the monitoring of data such as news databases and search engines.
5) To ensure the normal operations of the intraday odd lot trading system, the TWSE adjusted and upgraded mainframes plus software for the trading system, enhanced matching resources for back-end mainframes and peripheral equipment, and increased security for systems maintenance and monitoring.
6) The IT Service Management System (ISO 20000) was updated from the 2011 to the 2018 version, acquiring BSI certification to enhance the quality and stability of the TWSE's information services, thus protecting the rights and interests of securities firms and investors.
7) In accordance with the "National Information Security Policy," the TWSE introduced the Government Configuration Baseline ("GCB") security settings to Windows servers and firewalls to augment security and protection.
8) The TWSE completed the upgrade from RSA to ECDHE encryption for external service websites to expand information security and quality.
9) In response to the increasing need for co-location services, the TWSE completed the addition of network switches and related equipment to enhance the transmission of trading information.
