3) Promotional activities
(1) Although international travel was halted in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic resulting in the TWSE being unable to travel abroad to promote the return of businesses to list in Taiwan, the TWSE nevertheless cooperated with intermediaries, engaging with 22 high-potential overseas businesses and visiting their Taiwanese branch offices. Of these, many are innovative "hidden champions" that could augment capital market development.
(2) In line with the government's policy to support overseas Taiwanese businesses to return home to invest, the TWSE incentivized overseas subsidiaries of domestic listed companies to return and list in Taiwan, thereby expanding the scope of Taiwan's capital market.
