The FTSE TWSE Taiwan Technology Index was launched on November 29, 2004. This Index consists of all the constituents from FTSE TWSE Taiwan 50 Index and Taiwan Mid-Cap 100 Index with Classification of Industry Group 9000 under the ICB System. FTSE's free float methodology applied throughout the index to ensure the weights within the index reflect the market capitalization available for investment. The FTSE TWSE Taiwan Index Series Advisory Committee, an independent committee, manages the index. The base date value as of June 30, 2004 was set at 5,000 and the index is reviewed quarterly in January, April, July and October every year, and constituent changes are implemented on the next trading day following the third Friday of the same month.
